Powering Progress: Ontario’s Pickering Nuclear Station Refurbishment to Fuel Economic Growth and Job Creation

Ontario Power Generation’s (OPG) is proceeding with the next steps toward refurbishing Pickering Nuclear Generating Station’s “B” units (units 5-8) with the support of the Ontario Government. Once refurbished, Pickering will produce enough electricity to power two million homes. This will help to meet the increasing demand for electricity and fuel the province’s economic growth.

We were able to spend excellent quality time with all our global suppliers and customers. Canada was especially well represented by the OCNI led trade mission, with many government and commercial sector leaders making sure to attend. We were very pleased to be able to spend some time with Todd Smith, Ontario Minister of Energy. We can’t wait to go back in 2025!
